Role overview
Design and guide the implementation of electronic health record architecture in complex healthcare environments. This contract role focuses on Meditech platforms, integrating them with clinical and operational systems while improving reliability, security, and workflow performance.
Responsibilities
- Design Meditech system architecture, integrations, and supporting technical solutions. - Lead implementations, upgrades, migrations, and optimization efforts. - Work with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders to align technical decisions with organizational needs. - Guide interoperability work, including HL7/FHIR interfaces, data migration, and third-party integrations. - Identify ways to improve system performance, scalability, security, and workflow efficiency. - Create architectural standards, technical documentation, and implementation plans.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of healthcare IT experience, including substantial Meditech expertise. - Strong knowledge of Meditech Expanse and legacy Client/Server and MAGIC environments. - Experience with enterprise EHR architecture, integrations, and data migration. - Understanding of clinical and revenue-cycle workflows. - Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting large healthcare systems or consulting engagements.
Benefits and work setup
This is a contract role, and remote work is permitted. The stated hourly range is $90–$115.
