About this role
Role overview
Lead a small engineering team building developer tools and products that combine software supply chain security with AI. You’ll own product outcomes from roadmap through launch and iteration, balancing people leadership with hands-on technical contribution. The work calls for initiative, sound judgment, and a focus on delivering reliable products that customers use.
Responsibilities
- Set direction and deliver a portfolio of developer security and AI products, from planning through rollout and ongoing improvement. - Hire, coach, and grow engineers, while clearing obstacles to effective delivery. - Review technical designs and code, and prototype when hands-on work can help the team move forward. - Partner with Product to set priorities, manage tradeoffs, and ship in increments against real deadlines. - Work through ambiguous problems, identifying practical paths without waiting for complete specifications. - Own product quality and reliability, and use customer feedback to inform future work.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience managing engineers and a sustained interest in developing a team. - Demonstrated ownership of shipped products or substantial features and their results. - Strong technical judgment, including the ability to read code, review designs, and reason about architecture and tradeoffs; proficiency in Go or readiness to ramp up quickly. - Experience with CI/CD systems, developer tools, or product platforms, plus familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure. - Experience with AI tools and interest in applying them to customer problems. - Comfort working autonomously amid uncertainty, shipping iteratively, and collaborating with Product and customers.
Benefits and work setup
- Remote-first work, with team gatherings and twice-yearly destination summits; monthly support for coworking, phone, and internet costs. - Base salary range: $205,000–$231,000 USD. Stock options are offered, along with health, dental, and vision premiums covered for employees and dependents. - Flexible paid time off and paid parental leave: 18 weeks for birthing parents and 12 weeks for non-birthing parents.
