Software Developer II

Role overview A fully remote mid-level engineering role focused on building and operating scalable cloud services, with a strong emphasis on improving the team's software development lifecycle. The position blends hands-on back-end development on a modern cloud platform with occasional refactoring and security maintenance of a native Windows codebase, all within an AI-first engineering culture that uses agentic and AI-assisted tooling as the default way of working.

Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain scalable services on the team's core cloud stack, owning testing and deployment of features you build - Strengthen SDLC practices, including CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and disciplined use of source control and issue tracking - Collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate requirements into user stories, deliver new functionality, and resolve complex production issues - Participate in on-call rotations, respond to operational incidents, drive root-cause fixes, and minimize end-user impact - Act as a subject-matter expert on the team's stack, mentoring peers and uplifting technical standards across the group - Identify repetitive or error-prone work in builds, testing, and deployment, and automate it with scripts, tooling, or agentic AI workflows; prototype ideas that improve velocity, code quality, or reliability

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field - 5+ years of professional experience building production back-end services, primarily in cloud environments using Java and Spring Boot - Solid grasp of the SDLC, with a track record of improving development and delivery processes - Working knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) - Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases - Advanced English (High B2 or C1), strong communication, and effective collaboration across distributed teams

Nice to have - Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud services - Exposure to C++ or native Windows development for legacy maintenance - Open-source contributions or a strong public portfolio of code
