Role overview This role supports a mortgage lender focused on attainable home ownership in the manufactured housing market, building the data foundation that powers analytics and reporting across the business. The position owns the architecture, pipelines, and governance practices that turn data from multiple source systems into a trusted enterprise asset, while partnering with both IT and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities - Develop an in-depth understanding of data structures and information content, and design the architecture for a new data and analytics platform supporting analytics, data science, and machine learning - Select, deploy, and manage the systems and infrastructure required for data processing pipelines aligned to project requirements - Investigate, create, and maintain data flows, data content definitions, and data element definitions with a goal of enterprise master data integration, including cleansing, de-duplication, and management - Use AI-assisted development tools to create, optimize, debug, and validate production-ready SQL and Python scripts - Profile data from different sources to determine whether and how it can support business and data requirements, and develop common business definitions and metadata criteria for consistent metrics reporting - Build complex SQL queries, perform data validation and quality assurance, and collaborate with IT and business partners to identify authoritative data sources and enforce Data Governance policies
Requirements - BS or BA in Computer Science, Business, Math, or a related field, with a Master's preferred - At least five years of experience in information technology - At least three years of data architecture experience - At least three years of experience programming in Java, C++, or C# - At least three years of experience with Microsoft SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and related technologies - Practical experience participating in and running data management programs, including data warehouses, ETL tools, SQL, and master data management solutions
Nice to have - Experience with the Microsoft Azure BI and analytics stack, including Azure SQL and related technologies - Familiarity with Java-based web frameworks - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain architectural tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical audiences
