Scrum Product Owner (Health Plan/MCO experience)

Role overview Guide an IT product’s direction and help a Scrum team deliver work that meets business and user needs. The Product Owner shapes the product vision, manages priorities, and coordinates with stakeholders and other Product Owners to keep delivery aligned with broader plans.

Responsibilities - Develop and communicate the product’s strategic vision and goals. - Maintain and prioritize the backlog, including clear user stories and acceptance criteria. - Keep the development team focused on business priorities and urgent needs. - Establish acceptance criteria for user acceptance testing and gather user feedback. - Participate in sprint planning, reviews or demos, and retrospectives, while encouraging agile practices. - Coordinate with enterprise stakeholders and other Product Owners on roadmaps, dependencies, overlaps, and integration opportunities.

Requirements - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience. - At least five years of business management, healthcare operations, insurance, managed care, or related experience. - At least three years leading business initiatives intended to drive systemic change. - At least two years in a functional Agile Product Owner or Scrum Master role. - Strong analysis, communication, collaboration, prioritization, and decision-making skills. - Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively with stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.

Nice to have - Graduate degree in business or health administration. - Formal Product Owner training or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification. - Advanced computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
