About this role
Role overview Build patient-facing software that helps people understand, afford, and manage healthcare costs. Requirements - Five to seven years of software engineering experience building product-facing applications. - Proficiency in a backend language; Python and Django are preferred, or comparable experience. - Practical frontend experience; React and TypeScript are useful, while experience with another modern framework is also relevant. - Experience leading projects of meaningful scope from design through delivery and collaborating with product or design partners. - Hands-on use of AI tools in development, clear written and verbal communication, and comfort working through ambiguity. - User-focused problem solving and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
Nice to have - Experience with agentic tools, LLM-powered features, technical design reviews, project metrics, or regulated and high-stakes data environments such as healthcare or fintech.
Benefits and work setup - Remote across the United States, with home or office flexibility for most roles. - Listed salary range: $170,000–$215,000, subject to location, experience, and education. - Health benefits, equity for qualifying roles, fertility and adoption assistance, and a 401(k) match of up to 3% of annual compensation. - For exempt employees, flexible paid time off with a stated expectation of at least 20 vacation days annually; 16 weeks of paid parental leave. - Mentorship, coaching, and learning and development resources.
