Technical Delivery Director

Role overview Lead technical delivery for complex enterprise technology programs and services, from early discovery and design through implementation and live operations. This senior, hands-on leadership role combines architecture oversight, delivery accountability, team leadership, commercial judgment, and direct engagement with clients and technology partners.

Responsibilities - Own delivery outcomes across the full lifecycle, including quality, timelines, dependencies, risks, and commercial commitments. - Work directly with architects and technical specialists to review designs, challenge technology choices, and address engineering or operational issues. - Ensure solutions account for security, resilience, scalability, performance, interoperability, maintainability, operability, and cost. - Collaborate with cloud and enterprise platform providers and partners on architecture, roadmaps, and client opportunities. - Explain technical tradeoffs in terms of business, operational, and commercial impact; build alignment among senior stakeholders. - Establish proportionate governance, report risks and progress clearly, and improve engineering and delivery practices.

Requirements - Significant senior-level experience delivering large, complex enterprise technology solutions or services while maintaining strong technical involvement. - Experience with major cloud and enterprise platforms, such as AWS, Azure, Salesforce, Snowflake, or ServiceNow, and engagement with vendors or integration partners. - Broad understanding of cloud services, applications, APIs and integration, data platforms, cybersecurity, infrastructure, automation, and DevOps. - Experience making or challenging architecture decisions and applying Agile, DevOps, or IT service management practices in complex environments. - Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary technical teams and engage constructively with senior client stakeholders. - Strong commercial judgment and communication skills, including the ability to connect technical choices to cost, risk, service performance, and outcomes. - Eligibility for SC security clearance is required.
