Role overview
Own backend engineering work for software that supports complex business workflows. You’ll lead substantial projects from planning through release, improve system scalability and reliability, and help shape product decisions in close partnership with product and customer teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend systems with attention to performance, scalability, and reliability. - Take complex engineering projects from definition through deployment, maintaining a high quality bar. - Work with product and customer-facing colleagues to connect technical decisions to user and business needs. - Contribute hands-on code while helping set technical direction. - Review designs and code, and help other engineers resolve obstacles.
Requirements
- Senior-level backend engineering experience building scalable, high-performance systems. - Ability to work independently in a fast-moving, product-focused environment. - Strong ownership of deliverables, with a record of completing work to a high standard. - Skill in giving useful code review and architectural feedback and supporting other engineers.
