Full Stack Software Engineer

Role overview A senior-level position focused on building and scaling customer-facing experiences for an email, SMS, and marketing automation platform. The engineer will join an autonomous, multidisciplinary product team, partnering with designers, product managers, and peers to ship reliable software and operate what they build, including on-call participation. Work spans dynamic web applications, distributed services, and infrastructure on a cloud platform.

Responsibilities - Contribute to event-driven microservices and APIs within a distributed architecture - Build and enhance dynamic web applications across modern and legacy frontend stacks - Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure components on AWS (compute, container, messaging, database, caching, and search services) - Support event streaming and big data initiatives using Kafka and Spark - Extend existing product features while participating in code review and mentorship - Participate in an on-call rotation and own problems end to end, including scoping, tradeoffs, and long-term maintainability

Requirements - 10+ years of professional software development experience - BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent additional industry experience - Fluency in at least two programming languages, ideally including C#, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript - Familiarity with multiple storage engines (SQL, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, managed relational databases) and when each fits - Comfort using AI-augmented development tools with sound judgment about when to rely on them - Strong communication, collaboration, and data-driven decision making

Nice to have - Experience with event streaming architecture and stream processing - Infrastructure-as-CIaC using Terraform and related provisioning tools
