BI Developer

Role overview Develop business intelligence and data solutions for a long-term project. The role centers on writing and tuning complex SQL, designing warehouse models, and building analytical models and reporting with Power BI. It also involves version control and some familiarity with application tooling and code.

Responsibilities - Write, analyze, and optimize complex SQL queries, taking SQL engine behavior into account. - Design star schemas and select more advanced modeling approaches when the data calls for them. - Work with data warehouse environments, with dedicated SQL pools preferred. - Develop or maintain BI solutions using Power BI, DAX, and Tabular Models. - Use Git and SQL Server Data Tools as part of the development workflow. - Understand business logic that may be generated in C#.

Requirements - Strong SQL skills, including the ability to discuss and solve complex query problems. - Knowledge of SQL performance and query optimization. - Experience with data modeling, especially star schema design, and data warehouses. - Experience with Power BI, DAX, and Tabular Models. - Familiarity with Git and SQL Server Data Tools. - Basic knowledge of C#.
