Role overview
The Senior Solutions Consultant serves as a pre-sales technical architect and proposal solution writer for IT services engagements. Working remotely with business development, capture, delivery, partner, and subject-matter teams, the role turns client requirements into credible, differentiated solutions and persuasive proposal content across service management, service desk, managed applications, cloud, infrastructure, and related platforms.
Responsibilities
- Qualify new opportunities and lead solution architecture for RFP and RFI responses, translating requirements into compliant technical and staffing approaches. - Design and document end-to-end solutions covering IT service management, ITIL processes, service desk operations, service-management platforms, application managed services, cloud, infrastructure, and networks. - Develop solution strategies, work plans, implementation approaches, high-level diagrams, staffing models, pricing assumptions, and executive presentations. - Write and edit technical narratives, solution overviews, transition and transformation plans, and other proposal sections with capture managers and proposal writers. - Facilitate solutioning workshops with delivery leaders, technical specialists, alliance partners, and capture teams to shape differentiators and win themes. - Identify assumptions, cost drivers, dependencies, and delivery risks; support orals, best-and-final-offer preparation, client presentations, and final quality reviews.
Requirements
- Strong experience as a pre-sales technical engineer, architect, solutions consultant, or similar role involving proposal development and client solutioning. - Ability to move between technical design and executive-level storytelling, with excellent writing, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills. - Working knowledge of ITSM and ITIL, service desk operations, service-management platforms, application managed services, cloud architecture, and infrastructure environments. - Demonstrated ability to collaborate across business development, capture, delivery, engineering, and partner teams while managing several pursuits at once. - Strong attention to detail and the ability to document assumptions, interpret requirements, control solution risk, and produce accurate, defensible proposals. - Eligibility to work without employer sponsorship.
Benefits and work setup
- This is a full-time remote position. - The stated pay range is $125,000–$150,000 per year, with medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement-account access, and paid time off.
