Solution Architect

Role overview Lead solution design for a financial process area in a large, greenfield SAP S/4HANA modernization program. You will turn business and statutory needs into a configured solution, guide a delivery team through implementation, and coordinate design across connected systems and process areas. The role is contingent on contract award.

Responsibilities - Own the process area’s solution from requirements and configuration through integration, testing, deployment, and transition to ongoing support. - Lead fit-to-standard workshops and direct analysts, developers, and testers, setting priorities and reviewing the quality of their work. - Maintain functional designs, architecture records, configuration rationale, and traceability between requirements and design. - Govern integrations with adjacent areas, external interfaces, data migration, and reporting; identify gaps and bring proposed extensions to architecture review. - Prepare and present design and readiness reviews, respond to review actions, and lead defect triage and design-related resolution. - Support cutover, go-live, and hypercare while coaching team members and building their design skills.

Requirements - 8+ years of SAP functional or technical experience, including design responsibility on enterprise implementations, and at least one full lifecycle SAP implementation in a design, lead functional, or architect role. SAP S/4HANA experience is required. - Deep configuration and solution design experience in one or more SAP finance or supply chain areas, with a strong understanding of cross-module integration. - Experience leading requirements workshops, delivery teams, work allocation, and quality reviews; people leadership experience is expected. - Ability to produce clear design documentation and explain decisions in formal reviews. - Related bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Experience expectations vary by education: 8–12 years relevant experience and 3–5 years leading people with a degree, or 10–14 and 5–8 years respectively without one. - Must hold or be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance before assignment; U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice to have Advanced certifications, an Agile delivery certification, and experience transitioning solutions into formal operations or sustainment.
