About this role
Role overview Coordinate day-to-day delivery for a federal health IT proof of concept that tests published API endpoints for certified products and prepares evidence related to regulatory compliance gaps. You will manage tactical execution on a two-week Agile sprint cadence, keeping scope, schedules, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communications visible while a program manager handles longer-range planning and contract administration.
Responsibilities - Coordinate delivery scope, schedules, people, risks, dependencies, and deliverables, and communicate current status to stakeholders. - Run sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, and retrospectives, with a rolling three-month planning view that can be adjusted as priorities change. - Maintain risk, action, issue, and decision tracking, monitor dependencies, and escalate decisions through agreed channels. - Keep the Jira backlog and sprint boards current as the shared record of delivery status. - Prepare meeting agendas and minutes, support monthly status reporting and scope changes, and maintain project documentation for knowledge transfer. - Work with technical and engineering leads and developers to make realistic sprint commitments tied to contract tasks and deliverables.
Requirements - At least five years managing software or IT delivery, including three or more years as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager running two-week sprints. - At least two years coordinating day-to-day delivery on a government contract, including deliverables, status reports, risk tracking, and stakeholder communication. - Hands-on Jira setup and administration for boards, backlogs, and reporting. - Strong writing skills for federal technical audiences, including clear agendas, meeting records, and status updates. - Authorization to work in the United States.
Nice to have - Scrum Master certification or PMP/PgMP credential. - Experience with federal health IT or interoperability work, and familiarity with Confluence. - Health IT standards and regulatory context are taught after starting; Agile delivery experience is expected beforehand.
Benefits and work setup - Part-time, one-year contract; engagement may be W-2 or 1099, with hourly rates described in the source listing. - Applicants must live and work in an eligible U.S. state; the listing excludes several states and Washington, D.C.
