Staff / Principal Full Stack AI Engineer

Role overview A Staff or Principal-level engineering role shaping the technical direction of customer-facing AI features for an interview intelligence platform. The position leads end-to-end delivery from prototypes and prompt experimentation through evaluation infrastructure, backend systems, data modeling, and polished product surfaces, partnering closely with Product and Design on a small autonomous squad. Candidates bring deep production AI experience, full-stack fluency, and the judgment to turn ambiguous AI ideas into reliable capabilities that customers use every day.

Responsibilities - Own end-to-end delivery of customer-facing AI features from early prototypes through production launch - Design prompt chains, retrieval flows, evaluation harnesses, and quality feedback loops across the platform - Build backend services, APIs, data models, and product surfaces that support AI-powered workflows - Work across structured and unstructured data including transcripts, job descriptions, interview notes, and customer configurations - Evaluate AI output for accuracy, usefulness, tone, safety, latency, and customer fit - Set technical direction across areas such as voice-driven interviewers, automatic coaching, candidate skills matrices, and conversational assistants - Make pragmatic technical decisions balancing speed, reliability, and product quality

Requirements - Significant experience designing, building, and shipping generative AI applications end-to-end - Deep familiarity with prompt engineering, prompt chains, evals, retrieval and vector search, and LLM workflows - Strong full-stack engineering skills, especially in Python and JavaScript or TypeScript - Comfort designing backend logic, data models, APIs, and system architecture at scale - Experience working with both SQL-style structured data and unstructured text such as transcripts and documents - Strong product instincts and the ability to reason from the customer's perspective - Track record of moving quickly and independently while knowing when to collaborate or pull others in
