About this role
Role overview A senior individual contributor role on a small, autonomous product squad building customer-facing AI features for hiring workflows. The position owns the full lifecycle from early prototypes and prompt experiments through evaluation harnesses, backend systems, data modeling, and polished product interactions, with close collaboration alongside Product and Design. The ideal candidate combines strong full-stack fundamentals with sharp instincts about where large language models succeed and where they fail.
Responsibilities - Prototype, build, and productionize AI features end-to-end across the stack - Design prompt chains, retrieval flows, evaluation harnesses, and quality feedback loops - Build backend systems, APIs, data models, and product surfaces supporting AI-powered workflows - Work with structured and unstructured data including transcripts, job descriptions, interview notes, and customer-specific configurations - Evaluate AI output for accuracy, usefulness, tone, safety, latency, and customer fit - Shape the user experience alongside Product and Design rather than only implementing specifications - Iterate quickly based on real customer usage, feedback, and quality signals
Requirements - Hands-on experience shipping generative AI applications in production - Familiarity with prompt engineering, prompt chains, evals, retrieval and vector search, and LLM-powered workflows - Strong full-stack engineering skills, especially in Python and JavaScript or TypeScript - Comfort designing backend logic, data models, APIs, and system architecture - Experience working with SQL-style structured data and unstructured text such as transcripts and documents - Strong product instincts and ability to reason from the customer's perspective
