Visual and Motion Designer

Role overview Create visual assets and motion experiences that make the ideas behind AI-powered products easier to understand and more engaging to use. The work spans illustration, graphic design, animation, and product interface elements, with an emphasis on consistent craft across digital experiences and customer-facing materials.

Responsibilities - Turn creative briefs and product goals into polished graphics, illustrations, icons, and motion treatments. - Combine animation, illustration, graphic elements, and interface components to explain concepts and highlight product moments. - Apply established visual identity and design system guidance across product work, presentations, and other materials. - Explore concepts, present design decisions, and refine work in response to feedback and project needs. - Use AI-assisted creative tools to explore and refine ideas, then prepare generated material for production use. - Create coordinated, reusable asset sets and collaborate with product designers and other partners to meet review and delivery timelines.

Requirements - 8–10 years of professional experience in motion design and animation, with a portfolio showing polished work that combines motion, graphics, and product interfaces. - 8–10 years of illustration and graphic design experience, with strong typography, color, composition, layout, and visual storytelling skills. - Experience creating cohesive assets within an established visual identity or design system. - Practical experience evaluating and refining AI-generated creative output for finished design work. - Ability to translate briefs into quality deliverables, communicate creative choices, work constructively with feedback, and deliver reliably. - A portfolio demonstrating relevant design work, process, and finished results.

Nice to have Experience with interactive or coded motion, product interface animation, large design systems or asset libraries, mixed-media storytelling, or thoughtful use of emerging AI creative workflows. Case studies, demo reels, or interactive examples are welcome.

Benefits and work setup Remote role for candidates in Pacific or Central time zones. Washington-based candidates are listed at $50–$55 per hour.
