About this role
Role overview The UX/UI Lead joins the Digital Product team to own end-to-end design for a subscription-first commerce platform that serves a deeply loyal customer base. This is an individual-contributor position working closely with the Director of Digital Product, product managers, engineers, creative, and lifecycle marketing to elevate the design craft across every customer interaction.
Responsibilities - Own the full subscriber experience design: onboarding and plan selection, account management (edit, skip, swap, pause, cancel, win-back), billing, and stage-based transitions - Apply proven subscription commerce UX patterns including dunning recovery, save-flows, flexible cadence, bundling, and upsell/cross-sell - Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows; identify and resolve friction across the conversion funnel from landing page through checkout - Maintain design system integrity in Figma through components, tokens, documentation, and naming conventions, with a mobile-first approach and WCAG accessibility standards - Run qualitative and quantitative research — usability testing, subscriber interviews, behavioral and funnel analysis, and A/B experiments — to inform design decisions and improve retention - Partner across Creative, Platform, and Lifecycle teams so user experience, visual identity, and brand voice remain cohesive at every touchpoint
Requirements - Deep expertise in subscription commerce UX patterns and end-to-end ecommerce design - Strong craft in Figma, prototyping, design systems, and accessibility (WCAG) - Experience planning and running usability research, behavioral analysis, and A/B testing - Track record collaborating with product managers, engineers, and creative teams - Ability to direct and mentor external contractors through full project phases - Mobile-first visual design approach for both web and mobile surfaces
Nice to have - Experience with consumer subscription products in sensitive or trust-driven categories - Familiarity with lifecycle or stage-based customer journey design
