Staff Content Designer, Investing
Job details
About this role
Role overview
A Staff-level Content Designer is needed to own the voice of an investing product line, translating complex financial concepts into clear, jargon-light language that works for both first-time investors and seasoned traders. This is an embedded, product-team role partnering with design, product, and engineering to shape product direction from early discovery through launch, not a late-stage copy polish position.
Responsibilities
- Write, rewrite, and refine product content across sophisticated investing surfaces such as options, margin trading, predictions, perpetuals, and futures. - Use AI tools throughout the product lifecycle to research, prototype, and ship work, including contributing code changes where appropriate. - Collaborate early with product and design counterparts on major initiatives to influence scope, positioning, and experience decisions. - Build and maintain content standards, templates, patterns, and workflows that scale quality across the team. - Partner with Marketing, Brand, Legal, and Compliance to keep messaging unified and consistent across every touch point. - Mentor and coach peers, sharing techniques that raise the overall craft of the content discipline.
Requirements
- 7 or more years of experience in content design or UX writing at a senior or staff level. - A learner's mindset with a demonstrated track record of going deep on unfamiliar subject matter and becoming a subject matter expert. - Hands-on experience using AI to amplify personal output or to empower teammates. - Background developing content standards or embedding product-content best practices inside a design system. - Ability to think strategically about content while still executing tactically on the details, and to juggle multiple competing priorities with sound judgment about when to slow down or move fast. - Portfolio of 3 or more case studies showing how writing and design improved user experience and business outcomes.
Benefits and work setup
- Health and life insurance benefits. - Long-term group savings plan with employer matching contributions. - 20 vacation days, 4 wellness days, plus unlimited sick and mental health days each year. - Policy allowing up to 90 days per year of remote work outside Canada. - Active employee resource groups. - Hybrid working model with a large distributed team across North America.
Nice to have
- Strong collaboration and active-listening skills, with a clear enjoyment of solving customer problems alongside cross-functional partners.
