Remote job
Senior AI/ML Engineer
Job details
About this role
Role overview Own machine-learning-powered features end to end, from training pipelines to production serving and monitoring, at a scale that touches terabytes of behavioral data across thousands of customers. This senior engineering role blends ML product engineering with MLOps platform work, with the mandate of turning experimental models into reliable, observable, multi-tenant services.
Responsibilities - Own ML-powered features end to end, including back-office APIs, training and inference pipelines, high-performance serving endpoints, and monitoring systems. - Take models from research and make them production-grade by rewriting training paths, thinking through feature freshness, and stress-testing against unanticipated inputs. - Design for multi-tenant scale and tight latency budgets, finding ways to make naive approaches workable at production traffic. - Build quality gates including unit and integration tests, shadow deployments, A/B testing, drift detection, and performance alerting. - Support shipped features through L3 incident investigations alongside client-facing colleagues. - Write design docs, runbooks, and decision records to keep systems understandable as the team grows.
Requirements - 5+ years of Python engineering experience building production services with strong opinions about testing. - Real experience running ML in production, including serving, retraining, monitoring, and understanding the specific failure modes of ML systems. - Solid software architecture fundamentals: scalable APIs, microservices, and data flow design. - Cloud platform depth, ideally with GCP and Databricks; AWS experience also valuable. - Comfort working across ML product engineering, MLOps, and data science boundaries.
Nice to have - Experience with large-scale personalization, recommendation, or contextual bandit systems. - Familiarity with agentic workflows or LLM-powered product features.
Benefits and work setup - Full-time role based in Central European offices (Bratislava, Brno, Prague) or remote within Czechia or Slovakia. - Equity participation, performance bonus, and employee referral incentives. - Professional development budget and leadership development programs. - Wellness benefits, mental-health days off, and extended parental leave.
