About this role

Role overview This field-facing solutions engineering role supports international sales of electro-optical satellite systems to defense, intelligence, and government customers. You will translate mission needs into technical proposals and demonstrations, advise on how space and ground capabilities fit customer operations, and work with commercial and technical teams throughout the sales cycle.

Responsibilities - Partner with business development teams to qualify opportunities and serve as the technical lead for international government accounts. - Translate intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance requirements into satellite, collection, communications, latency, and ground-software solutions. - Prepare technical inputs for proposals and procurement responses, and deliver presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept exercises to senior stakeholders. - Advise customers on integrating satellite systems with geospatial intelligence workflows, ground stations, and analytic tools. - Gather market and customer feedback for product and engineering teams, and document technical lessons and competitive insights. - Coordinate with contracts, legal, and export compliance colleagues on international deal considerations.

Requirements - At least eight years in solutions engineering, sales engineering, or technical account management in remote sensing, satellite imaging, or the broader space industry. - Working knowledge of electro-optical satellite systems, including hardware, tasking, collection planning, resolution and revisit trade-offs, imagery products, ground architecture, and command and control. - Experience supporting sales to international defense, intelligence, or government customers. - Familiarity with geospatial intelligence or ISR workflows and how imagery is used in operational and analytic systems. - Strong presentation and communication skills, including experience briefing senior government, military, or intelligence audiences. - A relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience, and willingness to travel internationally about half the time.

Nice to have - Experience with a satellite operator or services provider; relationships with relevant agencies or integrators in the Gulf, Europe, or Asia-Pacific; or prior government, military, or intelligence service. - An advanced technical degree, additional regional language skills, SAR or multi-sensor experience, sales tooling familiarity, or an applicable security clearance.

Benefits and work setup The position is remote, with travel expected to be approximately 50%, primarily internationally. Candidates near Abu Dhabi, London, or Singapore may be considered. Listed US employee benefits include health coverage, paid leave, retirement matching, professional development, and stock purchase participation. An annual salary range of $165,000–$205,000 is stated for Seattle candidates; compensation may vary by location. Export-control eligibility requirements may apply.
