Security Engineering Manager

Role overview Lead practical security work across a product’s application, APIs, databases, and cloud services. Partner with engineering and product colleagues to build protections into day-to-day development, reduce risk, and help customers trust how their data is handled.

Responsibilities - Design and improve security controls across applications, infrastructure, and cloud services. - Strengthen access management and credential protection, and monitor for emerging risks. - Help the team prepare for and respond to security incidents. - Review code and product changes to identify risks early and recommend workable fixes. - Write security guidance, maintain useful records, and support customer reviews and audits. - Share security knowledge with product and engineering teams so secure practices are easier to follow.

Requirements - Experience securing applications, cloud services, or infrastructure used by real customers. - Broad technical understanding of how data and permissions move across frontend, backend, and operations. - Hands-on experience reviewing code, investigating issues, and implementing security improvements. - Familiarity with access management, vulnerability checks, credential protection, monitoring, and audit preparation. - Sound judgment that balances risk, usability, and team priorities, with clear explanations of recommendations. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, plus the ability to take responsibility in a remote team.
