Backend Engineer (full-time)

Role overview Build and maintain backend capabilities for a platform that helps organizations understand and manage emissions associated with supply chains, logistics, and mobility. Working in one of two autonomous development teams alongside frontend and backend colleagues, you’ll deliver product features and contribute to experimental work while keeping services reliable, scalable, and maintainable.

Responsibilities - Develop and maintain APIs, including endpoints that support frontend product features. - Investigate monitoring alerts, trace issues to their root causes, and help maintain service reliability. - Improve backend services and infrastructure for scalability and performance. - Reduce technical debt while balancing ongoing product work with experiments. - Collaborate with teammates, share knowledge, and contribute to technical decisions.

Requirements - Proficiency with TypeScript and NestJS. - Experience with Kubernetes and backend infrastructure. - Familiarity with databases such as ClickHouse or PostgreSQL and messaging systems such as Kafka. - Experience with DevOps practices. - Strong communication and a collaborative, approachable working style. - Availability for four or five days per week.
