Senior Engineer, Data

Role overview Build data-focused software that helps make complex healthcare processes clearer and easier to navigate. You’ll deliver backend services, data capabilities, and user-facing features, while contributing to technical design and supporting teammates across project work.

Responsibilities - Develop backend systems and interfaces using test-driven practices. - Build APIs, specifications, and data models that connect user interfaces and external systems. - Implement and maintain data workflows, improving performance and scalability while protecting data integrity and security. - Develop interfaces based on user experience designs and customer needs. - Contribute to automated functional and non-functional testing. - Scope and deliver medium to large features, reduce technical debt, and help teammates succeed.

Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field. - Strong Python and Apache Spark experience, with knowledge of distributed computing, data modeling, ETL, and orchestration. - Understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms. - Experience with analytics programming, extracting and querying data from databases or warehouses, and data analysis. - Experience with Agile development and CI/CD pipelines. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, clear communication, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have - Experience with AWS services such as S3, EC2, Glue, or Lambda; R or SAS; or professional Databricks or Apache Spark certification.
