Associate Software Engineer II

Role overview Build and support customer-facing web applications and APIs as part of an agile engineering team. The work spans requirements analysis, implementation, troubleshooting, and documentation, with opportunities to contribute across project teams and grow technical skills.

Responsibilities - Research user and business needs to define the scope and goals of moderately complex information systems. - Design, code, test, debug, and document applications, scripts, and related components. - Modify systems and processes to improve capacity, response times, operating time, and user outcomes. - Respond to failures and performance issues, reducing downtime and preventing repeat problems. - Support multiple project teams, share technical guidance, and help end users make effective use of delivered systems. - Take on project roles such as technical lead or business systems analyst for smaller efforts when needed.

Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience. - At least two years of programming experience and one year working with application development methods, IT concepts, terminology, and standards. - Strong working knowledge of at least one programming language used in the organization. - Experience with JavaScript, Node.js, React, Next.js, SQL queries, and Web API development. - Effective written and verbal communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have Experience with Facets or Sitecore, project or work management, and interest in learning new technologies are beneficial.

Benefits and work setup The role is remote. The final interview round takes place on-site in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Participation in an on-call rotation is expected approximately once every three months.
