Software Engineer, Open Source AI

Role overview Build and maintain open source integrations, frameworks, and example applications that connect AI workflows with cloud object storage. Responsibilities - Develop and maintain integrations and reference applications using languages such as Python, TypeScript, Go, or Rust. - Use AI coding agents to speed up implementation, testing, and maintenance, while checking code for correctness, security, and performance. - Explore evolving AI frameworks, APIs, agent systems, and data orchestration patterns through hands-on testing. - Contribute code, review changes, triage issues, and maintain public repositories for external users and contributors. - Create and maintain SDK examples, notebooks, and applications with reproducible setups, tests, and clear documentation. - Work with product and quality teams to reflect real AI workflows and storage usage in integrations.

Requirements - Software engineering experience that includes contributions to open source projects in one or more commonly used languages. - Practical understanding of AI workflows, including data ingestion, preprocessing, inference, and agent-based systems. - Experience producing maintainable software with strong testing and documentation practices. - Comfort owning public repositories and supporting their users and contributors. - Clear written communication and attention to developer usability.
