UI / UX Designer

Role overview

A remote, full-time product design role on a small team that treats interface work as core product thinking rather than a finishing step. The designer will lead projects across client-facing applications and internal products, collaborating closely with engineers from initial discovery through shipped releases. The work spans enterprise dashboards, AI-powered tools, and workflow automation interfaces.

Responsibilities

- Lead the design process across client and internal projects, covering research, information architecture, wireframing, and high-fidelity UI work - Plan and run user research activities such as interviews, usability tests, and heuristic reviews, and translate findings into design decisions that can be defended and justified - Build and maintain Figma-based design systems that engineers actually adopt in production, rather than leaving them as reference material - Partner with engineers during implementation to review builds, answer questions, and negotiate pragmatic trade-offs when scope or feasibility shifts - Contribute visual design for the company's brand and marketing surfaces, including websites, proposal templates, and presentations - Push back when requirements are unclear, when a design is being built to the wrong specification, or when a prototype does not survive contact with real users

Requirements

- Three or more years of product design experience with a portfolio demonstrating real projects shipped to real users, not just concept or academic work - High proficiency in Figma for systems, components, and high-fidelity interface design - Strong communication skills and the ability to have honest, technical conversations with engineers about feasibility, constraints, and worthwhile compromises - Comfort working through ambiguity and shifting requirements while maintaining a quality bar on tight timelines - A developed point of view on what good design looks like in product categories such as enterprise dashboards, AI-powered tools, and workflow automation

Nice to have

- Direct experience designing complex B2B interfaces, including data-dense dashboards and multi-step workflows
