Senior Full Stack Developer

Role overview A senior engineering position building a cloud-native research platform used by translational research and biomedical informatics programs. The work centers on interactive developer environments, custom dashboards, and data exploration tools for federal health science clients, leveraging modern containerization and orchestration in a cloud setting.

Responsibilities - Build scalable, reliable, and flexible applications in TypeScript using Node.js and Angular. - Design, implement, and consume RESTful web services. - Develop modern, responsive user interfaces that work across web and multiple device types. - Participate in agile software development, prototyping, testing, and code reviews with a small team. - Write robust unit and end-to-end tests to ensure application quality.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field (work experience may substitute for the degree). - 3+ years of experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and 3+ years as a full-stack developer. - Hands-on experience with Node.js, Angular, NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, and container tools including Docker and Kubernetes. - Familiarity with DevOps pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), version control with Git, and unit/end-to-end testing frameworks. - Experience with Jupyter notebooks and open-source dashboarding projects such as Shiny, Streamlit, or Solara.

Nice to have - Exposure to GenAI development tools like CursorAI, Cline, or Windsurf. - Comfort working in an Agile environment with strong written communication skills.
