Application Engineer

Role overview Partner with customers to understand project needs and help deliver solutions for remote data collection, presentation, and control in measurement and SCADA environments. The role combines customer-facing application work with programming, troubleshooting, and support for industrial systems. Candidates should be comfortable contributing independently within a structured team.

Responsibilities - Work directly with customers to clarify project requirements and recommend suitable approaches. - Apply programming and troubleshooting skills to support customer applications and system needs. - Help implement solutions involving industrial data communications, measurement, and SCADA systems. - Communicate project information clearly in writing, conversation, and group presentations. - Use standard office software to support project and customer work.

Requirements - A business or scientific bachelor’s degree is preferred; comparable work experience may substitute. - Working knowledge of information technology, with programming and troubleshooting ability. - Strong written and spoken communication skills, including comfort with face-to-face customer interaction and speaking to groups. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Nice to have - Familiarity with control systems, Windows desktop or server environments, or Microsoft SQL Server. - Experience with Visual Basic scripting, Visual Basic for Applications, or CRM systems. - Exposure to industrial communication, SCADA, or HMI platforms.
