Software Engineer - Agent Team

Role overview

Build and evolve software for a cloud-based endpoint management platform that configures, secures, and updates devices across major desktop operating systems. As part of an engineering team working on backend services and endpoint products, you will own features from design through production, balancing reliability, security, performance, and usability.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and secure services that communicate with a large global fleet of endpoint agents. - Extend event-driven services and endpoint software to deliver platform capabilities. - Build and ship backend features alongside their user-facing components using a modern JavaScript framework. - Improve software through testing, performance tuning, refactoring, usability work, and automation. - Evaluate technical approaches, explain recommendations, and iterate with teammates and partner functions. - Take part in service ownership, including understanding operational behavior, failure modes, and cost, and improving services over time.

Requirements

- Three to five years designing, building, testing, and monitoring applications in a highly available SaaS environment. - Professional experience delivering frontend features with TypeScript and a modern JavaScript framework. - Experience building production applications in cloud environments, with strong security practices. - Familiarity with microservices, event ingestion at scale, real-time messaging or websockets, non-relational data stores, and DevOps practices. - Strong communication and collaboration skills in a distributed, cross-functional team. - Go or Java experience is preferred; candidates with varied language experience are also considered.

Nice to have

- Desktop or cross-platform application development, software running on customer devices, or automated end-to-end testing with tools such as Python or Playwright.
