Software Engineer, Monetization

Role overview Build and improve the software experiences that help customers start, manage, and renew subscriptions across web and mobile products. You’ll work across the stack with product, design, marketing, and data partners, shipping features, running experiments, and using results to improve conversion, retention, and revenue.

Responsibilities - Develop and maintain customer-facing enrollment, paywall, subscription management, and reactivation features. - Contribute across frontend, backend, and mobile codebases as needed. - Collaborate with product, design, marketing, and data teams to plan and deliver experiments. - Instrument features and use analytics and observability data to understand user behavior and troubleshoot production issues. - Use AI-assisted development tools in coding, debugging, and planning, applying engineering judgment and appropriate testing to maintain quality.

Requirements - At least three years of professional software engineering experience, including shipping and maintaining production software. - Full-stack experience with a modern frontend framework such as React and TypeScript, plus familiarity with backend technologies such as Node.js, GraphQL, or REST APIs. - Experience with modern web development tooling, including bundlers, CI/CD, and testing frameworks. - Familiarity with analytics and observability tools used to instrument features, investigate issues, and understand users. - Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools and strong communication skills for remote, cross-functional work. - A computer science or related bachelor’s degree, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have - React Native or other mobile app development experience. - Familiarity with subscription payments, e-commerce, A/B testing, marketing integrations, AWS, or Terraform.

Benefits and work setup This is a remote position for candidates based in the United States. The stated salary range is $130,000–$165,000, with variation based on relevant skills, experience, and location. Benefits include health and wellness coverage, retirement savings, and parental leave.
