Remote job
Software Engineer, Agent Experience
Job details
About this role
Role overview Improve how coding agents discover, integrate, and troubleshoot a developer platform’s voice and speech products. You’ll build the skills, tools, documentation, examples, and evaluations that help an agent take a developer from an initial request to a working integration, with room to shape this emerging area as it grows.
Responsibilities - Treat coding agents as a key audience for the developer experience and identify where integrations fail. - Create and maintain agent skills for speech, real-time, dictation, voice agent, text-to-speech, and language model products. - Extend an MCP server and help develop authentication and integrations for coding agents and other tools. - Make documentation, quickstarts, machine-readable references, and SDK examples clear and usable by agents. - Improve prompts, tool definitions, and instructions used in agent-assisted product and onboarding flows. - Build evaluations using real agent integration tasks; track successful completions, time to a working API call, and resulting activation.
Requirements - Software engineering experience and familiarity with building for developers or integrating APIs. - Regular experience using coding agents and curiosity about the conditions that help them succeed or fail. - Some practical experience writing prompts, agent skills, tool definitions, or instructions, with interest in evaluating results systematically. - Product judgment focused on whether a developer can complete a working integration. - Clear technical writing and comfort working through ambiguity while shipping iteratively.
Nice to have - Familiarity with MCP, LLM tool calling, and how agents use API documentation. - Experience building an MCP server, agent skill library, coding agent extension, SDKs, or developer documentation. - Exposure to voice AI, speech recognition, or language model APIs.
