Role overview An expression of interest for future senior engineering opportunities with a data and AI consulting practice. The role combines hands-on data engineering with a focus on AI and agentic systems, leading project delivery and mentoring engineers across multiple client engagements. Submissions will be reviewed as aligned openings arise.
Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using SQL, Python, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Apache Airflow, and PySpark - Lead integration of complex data systems and ensure consistency across platforms - Implement CI/CD practices for data pipelines to improve processing efficiency and quality - Translate business requirements into technical implementations alongside architects, analysts, and stakeholders - Manage and mentor a team of data engineers to ensure high-quality deliverables - Define and enforce best practices in data governance, security, and compliance - Build dashboards and reports, and evaluate new tools to keep the stack current
Requirements - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field - 5–7 years of industry experience in data engineering with strong SQL, Python, and big data skills - Extensive hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and AWS Glue - Demonstrated work with Databricks and Snowflake - Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and DevOps practices - Proven leadership and project management skills across multiple concurrent projects - Strong communication, problem-solving, and deadline-management abilities - Clear grasp of modern data architecture including data mesh, data lake, and data warehouse patterns
Nice to have - Azure, AWS, Databricks, or Snowflake certifications - Experience leading large-scale data engineering projects
