Support the assessment, verification, and validation of cyber systems with emphasis on operational capabilities involving 5G and virtualization. This systems engineering role connects developers, security stakeholders, and inter-agency partners while shaping requirements, technical strategy, operational governance, and future technology adoption.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with developers to review operational capabilities related to 5G and virtualized environments. - Evaluate system architectures, design documentation, and security processes for technical suitability and risk. - Create, administer, and maintain actionable requirements for cyber tools and sponsor development activities. - Conduct system assessments that support information-system validation and independent technical evaluation. - Coordinate with inter-agency partners on technical plans, cyber strategies, and operational governance. - Produce concept-of-operations documentation and track emerging technologies relevant to the mission area.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and the ability to maintain it. - Bachelor’s degree with 8–10 years of experience, master’s degree with 6–8 years, doctorate with 3–5 years, or equivalent experience in business, computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related technical discipline. - Experience writing requirements that are documented, measurable, testable, actionable, and traceable. - Strong critical-thinking ability to identify technical risks that could affect delivery of new capabilities. - Demonstrated experience developing concept-of-operations diagrams with stakeholder input and recognized industry practices. - Ability to assess technical risk independently, recommend improvements, and forecast technologies or products that could advance mission objectives.
