About this role
Role overview
Own the product area that measures, settles, and projects the financial performance of value-based care contracts. You’ll work closely with engineering, actuarial, and client-facing teams to turn contract terms and customer needs into accurate, reusable product capabilities, from discovery and prioritization through release and adoption.
Responsibilities - Set the roadmap for contract financial products and prioritize client needs, contract requirements, and platform improvements. - Convert recurring customer requests and individual contract terms into configurable capabilities that serve multiple clients. - Write product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and calculation rules; plan actuarial testing and coordinate release documentation. - Review contract terms with actuarial partners, identify unsupported requirements, and assess how new needs fit existing product structures. - Use SQL and data schemas to inspect source data, review calculation outputs, and check results for accuracy. - Triage product issues, follow requests through resolution, and communicate roadmap choices and delivery updates to internal teams and clients.
Requirements - At least five years in product management, actuarial work, analytics, or a related field, including three or more years managing B2B data, analytics, or financial software products. - Working knowledge of value-based care contract concepts such as shared savings, capitation, benchmarks, attribution, risk sharing, reconciliation, settlement, and IBNR. - Experience owning a product area from discovery through release and adoption, and building scalable SaaS or platform products. - Ability to interpret contracts or settlement reports and turn them into clear, buildable requirements. - Comfort with SQL, data schemas, healthcare data, and reviewing financial calculations with technical and actuarial colleagues. - Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and ability to work autonomously in a fast-moving environment.
Nice to have - Experience in payer or provider contract operations, value-based care finance, or settlement reconciliation. - Familiarity with Medicare Advantage, ACO REACH, MSSP, Medicaid, or commercial value-based contracts. - R, Python, or similar analysis experience; an actuarial credential or analyst background.
Benefits and work setup - Salary range: $185,000–$215,000 per year, plus equity options. - Health, dental, and vision coverage with substantial employer contributions, and a 4% retirement plan match. - Flexible paid time off, a weeklong winter shutdown, and ten annual holidays. - Occasional travel for quarterly team gatherings. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
