Senior Software Engineer Data & AI

Role overview Help build backend and data systems that make healthcare billing rules and payer information more reliable and actionable. The work combines scalable application development, data pipelines, and LLM-powered workflows, with substantial ownership over architecture and product decisions as an early engineering team member.

Responsibilities - Shape core architecture and engineering practices as the product and team scale. - Build backend services, APIs, and pipelines for complex healthcare and payer data. - Turn contract language and billing rules into executable logic with intelligent systems. - Create feedback loops that translate human review into improvements to software and financial workflows. - Own work from design through deployment and monitoring, including practical experiments as needed.

Requirements - At least four years building scalable applications in complex problem areas. - Product-minded approach and ability to write clear, pragmatic code. - Experience with cloud infrastructure and distributed systems. - Comfort with ambiguity and switching between architecture, implementation, and experimentation. - Active use of coding agents and LLMs to improve software development work.

Nice to have - Exposure to healthcare, financial technology, or other regulated domains. - Experience with Python, Django, React, PostgreSQL, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, or Bedrock; the team is open to evolving its stack.
