Sr. QA Engineer

Role overview Own quality assurance for a software product, contributing throughout development and release cycles. This senior role combines test planning and execution, automation, defect investigation, release readiness, and team guidance, with close collaboration across product, engineering, and customer-facing groups.

Responsibilities - Create and maintain test plans, scenarios, and cases; review execution and provide quality sign-off for releases. - Automate smoke and regression coverage, review test code, and validate production defects, using AI tools where appropriate. - Monitor quality and defect measures, analyze recurring issues, and report findings to QA leadership. - Investigate production problems to identify root causes and recommend quality improvements. - Assess feature risks, confirm work meets business needs and the team’s definition of done, and raise implementation impediments. - Estimate QA work, support sprint delivery, and respond to requests from clients, product, and customer success teams.

Requirements - Extensive QA experience with three-tier applications and bug-tracking tools. - Hands-on automation experience with Selenium, TestNG, and Rest Assured. - Ability to own test plans and cases, execute reviews, and make release-readiness recommendations. - Experience analyzing defect trends, quality metrics, and production issues. - Working knowledge of AI-assisted testing tools and prompt engineering; Playwright is preferred. - Strong collaboration skills and the ability to guide teams on quality risks, impediments, and sprint work.
