Staff Cloud Platform Engineer - Cloud Developer Experience

Role overview

Own and improve the systems developers use to take code from source control into production. This staff-level platform engineering role combines hands-on software development with the design and operation of delivery infrastructure used by a globally distributed engineering organization. You’ll shape CI/CD practices and developer-facing tools, while exploring ways to incorporate AI into everyday software delivery.

Responsibilities - Evolve CI/CD architecture and the developer experience around it. - Improve pipeline reliability, speed, and predictability across the delivery process. - Establish repeatable paths that let product teams ship safely without needing deep platform expertise. - Own delivery workflows from code merge through production, including canary releases and automated rollbacks. - Build observable, repeatable, self-service deployment tools and improve the internal developer portal. - Partner with cloud platform teams and introduce AI tooling into delivery workflows where it improves productivity.

Requirements - Strong platform engineering or developer experience background focused on CI/CD and software delivery. - Experience owning and operating CI/CD platforms, including their architecture, configuration, security, and enablement. - Track record designing and operating delivery systems at scale. - Production-quality software development experience in Go. - Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and Kubernetes-based platforms. - Strong collaboration and influencing skills, including work across multiple teams.

Nice to have - Experience building or maintaining an internal developer portal in production. - Experience in both software and platform engineering teams. - Interest in security and familiarity with role-based access control or OAuth.
