About this role
Role overview Shape the next generation of software delivery and configuration management for a large, globally distributed engineering organization. You’ll set the architecture for safely releasing software across a growing fleet of production environments, combining hands-on implementation with technical leadership across many teams.
Responsibilities - Own the architecture and operation of CI/CD and configuration management across production environments. - Make new environments repeatable through templates, and define reference designs suited to different cluster sizes. - Establish practices for canary releases, automated rollback, GitOps, and reliable delivery across environments with different release schedules. - Build self-service workflows and improve the internal developer portal so product teams can deploy without needing deep platform expertise. - Work with cloud platform, security, and compliance teams to meet operational controls while improving pipeline speed and predictability. - Set technical direction, mentor senior engineers, and introduce AI-assisted practices into software delivery workflows.
Requirements - Platform engineering experience focused on CI/CD in organizations with at least 250 engineers. - Experience owning a CI/CD platform at both architectural and operational levels, including security, configuration, and developer enablement. - Strong knowledge of GitOps and declarative configuration at scale. - A track record designing and operating large-scale delivery systems and writing production-quality software. - Ability to influence teams across an organization and work effectively with engineering leaders in multiple time zones. - Interest in progressive delivery and improving reliability, delivery speed, and developer experience.
Nice to have - Experience establishing production regions or isolated deployments from the ground up. - Background spanning both product software and platform engineering. - Familiarity with role-based access control, OAuth, and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or GDPR.
