Principal Software Engineer, Financial Data Platform & GenSearch Agent

Role overview Lead technical work across a financial data platform and a customer-facing generative AI agent. The role focuses on speeding up and improving financial answers, simplifying data and service architecture, and building dependable connections between AI workflows, structured datasets, backend services, and web experiences.

Responsibilities - Improve orchestration among language model workflows, structured financial datasets, and supporting services. - Establish performance benchmarks, observability practices, and service-level objectives to strengthen speed and operational discipline. - Increase the reliability and correctness of AI-generated financial responses. - Reduce fragmentation across datasets and services, and work with data platform teams on scalable integration patterns. - Simplify legacy systems while continuing to deliver product improvements. - Contribute to backend and frontend features, define durable interfaces between generated outputs and web consumers, and lead cross-team design decisions.

Requirements - At least 12 years building and operating production systems, with experience at Staff or Principal engineering level. - Strong background in distributed systems and performance optimization, including simplifying complex architectures. - Experience building AI-integrated systems involving language model orchestration, tools, retrieval, or evaluation. - Ability to work across backend systems and modern frontend frameworks such as React. - Experience designing APIs and stable service contracts. - Strong cross-team technical leadership and ability to raise standards for system design, reliability, and operations.
