Software Engineer - Java - CF Benchmark

Role overview Build and maintain backend systems that calculate financial benchmarks from defined methodologies. The role spans implementing new benchmark features, supporting a real-time distributed platform, and improving the reliability of pricing and data services.

Responsibilities - Develop benchmark calculation systems based on new methodologies. - Partner with product colleagues to deliver features that meet business needs from design through implementation. - Contribute to data analysis, infrastructure, backend services, and business logic. - Support a continuously operating, real-time distributed system with a wider engineering team. - Improve system coverage through tests, metrics, and alerts.

Requirements - Backend software development experience, with a solid foundation in Java applications. - Ability to develop iteratively for high-throughput, real-time systems. - Skill in writing maintainable, efficient, dependable code. - Familiarity with modern development practices, including CI/CD and Git. - Strong mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, and attention to detail. - Clear written and spoken English communication, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have - Experience with financial benchmarks, pricing models, or finance. - Familiarity with cryptocurrency or blockchain technology. - SQL and data analysis skills. - Experience with middleware such as RPC, Protocol Buffers, message queues, or Redis.
