Arity - Data Analytics Engineer Intern

Role overview This summer 2027 internship focuses on building and improving data assets and pipelines that support analytics for internal and external users. You’ll work with data engineers, analysts, and business partners to turn changing requirements into tested datasets and ETL solutions, contributing from early prototypes through production-ready work. The expected start is May or June 2027.

Responsibilities - Develop datasets that analysts and business users can use for reporting and exploration. - Help design and build new ETL workflows, iterating quickly as requirements evolve. - Improve data infrastructure supporting analytics, including orchestration and cloud data warehouse services. - Write and run tests, coordinate with technical and business partners, and support end-user acceptance. - Contribute to research data files, information platforms, and shared data environments. - Adapt technical solutions to business needs while supporting process improvement and innovation.

Requirements - Be enrolled in a degree program and working toward a bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analytics, or a related area, or have equivalent skills. - Have basic familiarity with Python and/or a cloud platform, plus SQL. - Understand software development lifecycle concepts and source control such as GitHub. - Have basic familiarity with visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker. - Be comfortable using Linux and Bash, managing tasks and time, and learning new technologies. - Communicate clearly and collaborate across technical and business groups, with strong attention to detail.

Nice to have - Experience with Spark or another distributed processing framework. - Familiarity with statistical methods and tools such as scikit-learn, pandas, or TensorFlow, or with geospatial analysis.
