Senior Data Engineer- MSI

Role overview Design and operate data pipelines that bring together large volumes of information from internal and external sources across platforms. The role combines hands-on pipeline development and data quality work with project leadership, requirements gathering, and mentoring other engineers.

Responsibilities - Partner with data architects, analysts, and stakeholders to define and document pipeline and automation needs. - Build, test, document, and maintain pipelines using sound engineering practices. - Run ETL and ELT workflows in line with data governance and security requirements. - Create data quality and governance processes, including inspection, validation, processing, and anomaly detection. - Translate business needs into technical solutions and provide guidance and training to peers.

Requirements - Five to seven years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. - Experience building complex pipelines across platforms, data sources, and data structures. - Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server or Oracle and writing SQL. - Programming experience with Python, Spark, or similar tools, plus knowledge of large-scale processing engines. - Understanding of cloud data platforms and data warehousing, sourcing, cleansing, transformation, and database security or compliance. - Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and ability to document requirements and work across teams.

Nice to have - Experience with Power BI, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and their ETL tools.
