Backend Engineer

Role overview Build and operate backend services that connect computer vision systems with customer-facing web and mobile products. The work turns streams of detections into usable APIs, data models, and services, with ownership from problem definition through production. The role is fully remote for candidates within 2.5 hours of Singapore time.

Responsibilities - Design, build, and deploy scalable backend systems for AI products and web and mobile applications. - Lead projects from scoping and technical design through delivery, taking responsibility for production outcomes. - Apply sound data structure and algorithm fundamentals to keep APIs and database queries efficient as usage grows. - Work closely with technical and product leadership in a small, senior team to move decisions into shipped software.

Requirements - Strong backend engineering fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms. - Ability to scope and lead engineering projects through to production. - Self-direction and reliability when working remotely, with clear communication and limited supervision.
