SWE (Latin America)

Role overview Join a Latin American–based engineering team building the data infrastructure that trains and evaluates frontier AI models. The role is a high-ownership software engineering position where you will own projects end-to-end and ship systems that feed directly into how foundation models are improved. Expect a fast-moving, startup-paced environment with substantial technical responsibility from day one.

Responsibilities - Design and build scalable systems for the platform's core expert-facing site - Partner closely with research, product, and design to ship features quickly while maintaining quality - Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to internal documentation - Participate actively in code reviews and design discussions to raise the team's bar - Tackle real-world scalability and reliability challenges in production systems - Contribute to the infrastructure powering data and evaluation pipelines for leading AI labs

Requirements - 5+ years of professional engineering experience - Strong coding fundamentals in Node.js/TypeScript, Python, and/or Go - Deep understanding of distributed systems, scalability trade-offs, and system design - Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS, Kubernetes, APIs, and NoSQL databases - Ability to reason about trade-offs and balance speed versus reliability under pressure - Active GitHub with real work demonstrating a builder mindset - Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, especially during high-load periods - Proactive problem-identification style and a high-output, high-accountability mindset - Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have - Background as a founding engineer at a high-growth startup - Prior experience founding or shipping a technically sophisticated product - Track record of success in fast-paced startup environments with strong references
