Software Engineer II, Backend (Test Infra)

Role overview Build and improve test infrastructure that helps engineering teams create, run, and maintain automated tests and get useful feedback quickly. The role spans integration and end-to-end testing frameworks, CI pipelines, test execution and reporting, and quality practices across teams. You’ll work with colleagues in Europe and take part in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities - Own and maintain integration and end-to-end test frameworks and their CI pipelines. - Improve test speed and stability through practical technical changes. - Write technical specifications and architecture decision records, and contribute to solution design with engineers across teams. - Help engineering teams triage testing issues and share quality and automation practices. - Contribute to the broader test strategy and deliver larger efforts in manageable phases. - Participate in the on-call rotation.

Requirements - At least 3 years of test automation experience. - Proficiency in TypeScript and Python, with hands-on experience using Playwright and Pytest. - Experience building or optimizing CI pipelines, and working with Docker and AWS. - Strong knowledge of quality assurance, test design, and testing methods. - Clear written and verbal communication, including asynchronous collaboration through specifications, proposals, wikis, or project plans. - A bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience. - East Coast location to support collaboration with European colleagues.

Nice to have - Experience building or improving test automation frameworks and infrastructure. - Mobile, infrastructure, or performance test automation experience. - Interest in continuous learning and in seeking feedback.
