Senior Software Engineer

Role overview

Build and operate the platform layer of a large-scale data infrastructure, helping engineering teams develop, deploy, and run data applications. The work spans platform reliability, secure data access, self-service tooling, and emerging semantic and AI-supported data capabilities.

Responsibilities

- Develop platform features for provisioning, deployment, access control, service lifecycle management, and reliability. - Integrate platform services with CI/CD, identity and secrets management, APIs, and event-driven systems. - Design secure analytical data access, including role-based permissions, masking, secure views, and governed schemas. - Automate recurring support work such as access requests, pipeline failures, and service health management. - Build telemetry, alerts, logs, and runbooks; participate in on-call response and follow incidents through to durable fixes. - Contribute to platform design and code review, including future semantic-layer and AI-enabled data tools.

Requirements

- Hands-on experience operating a cloud analytics platform, including governance, access controls, compute, and cost management. - Experience building and operating containerized applications and production deployment pipelines. - Background in internal platforms, developer tooling, or self-service infrastructure. - Ability to build integrations across internal systems and work with platform networking and operational concerns. - Strong written and verbal communication, sound judgment in production operations, and ability to collaborate across engineering, security, and infrastructure teams.
