Senior Software Engineer, Back-end, (Repayment Scheduling)

Role overview Build and operate backend systems that let customers schedule and automate repayments reliably at high volume. You will take ownership of team goals and lead delivery through uncertain technical problems, working with product, design, analytics, and engineering partners.

Responsibilities - Lead engineers through open-ended work and deliver quarterly team objectives. - Shape product work with partner teams by explaining technical constraints, risks, and trade-offs. - Identify and lead resolutions for technical, operational, process, or business issues. - Track service health with metrics, respond to escalations, and contribute to on-call operations. - Improve design and code review practices, and share engineering guidance through writing and technical talks. - Mentor teammates with feedback and practical support.

Requirements - At least four years building, launching, and designing backend systems at scale, using Python or Kotlin. - Experience developing highly available distributed systems with technologies such as AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes. - Ability to plan and deliver substantial system features with designs that are clear, extensible, and straightforward to maintain. - Confidence making significant changes in a large codebase while keeping delivery safe and code understandable. - Strong written and verbal communication, and a habit of seeking feedback and taking ownership of professional growth.
