Staff Software Engineer | AI

Role overview A professional business platform serving legal, accounting, and other client-focused firms is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to lead the design and delivery of AI-powered features across its SaaS product suite. The role sits inside a newly forming R&D hub and offers the chance to shape AI capabilities end-to-end, from ideation through production, while partnering closely with product, data, and cloud operations teams. Work is hybrid, based near Brno with two days per week in the office, and the position is engaged through an Employer of Record partner in the Czech Republic.

Responsibilities - Partner with product managers and stakeholders to translate business challenges into well-scoped AI-driven solutions. - Design, build, and integrate AI features into existing SaaS products used by hundreds of thousands of professionals. - Collaborate with the data team on collecting, enriching, preparing, and staging data suitable for model training and inference. - Develop and evaluate AI-powered services from early prototypes through full general availability to customers. - Write production-grade Python for data manipulation, LLM interaction, and model performance evaluation. - Build the tooling and infrastructure needed for reliable, scalable, and secure AI deployment. - Work alongside cloud operations to ship, monitor, and continuously improve AI features in production.

Requirements - Five or more years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in full-stack SaaS or backend development. - Proven track record of designing, building, and operating production AI/ML services. - Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks, platforms, and related developer tooling. - Strong Python or comparable modern language skills, with comfort working across data and evaluation workflows. - Experience building scalable data infrastructure and integrating models into broader SaaS systems. - Familiarity with AWS or equivalent cloud environments and modern DevOps practices. - Located near Brno and willing to work on-site two days per week with the local team.

Nice to have - Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. - Experience fine-tuning and optimizing Large Language Models. - Experience integrating AI into streaming or real-time data flows. - Background in Natural Language Processing. - Exposure to fintech or the legal industry.
