About this role
Role overview A test leadership role accountable for defining, coordinating, and governing testing across digital services programmes that span integrated clinical and operational systems. The position owns the test strategy, the test-management platform, and the formal readiness and sign-off process for a healthcare technology portfolio including PACS, RIS, mobile applications, and connected services.
Responsibilities - Define and maintain the test strategy, policy, governance model, lifecycle, quality gates, templates, and minimum evidence requirements. - Design, administer, and continuously improve the test-management platform, including projects, plans, suites, cases, executions, traceability, dashboards, and reporting structures. - Develop project-level master test plans covering scope, environments, data, resources, entry and exit criteria, dependencies, risks, schedule, and sign-off approach. - Coordinate end-to-end testing across PACS, RIS, mobile applications, portals, interfaces, identity and access components, and reporting services. - Lead defect triage, ensuring defects are accurately recorded, prioritised, assigned, retested, and closed with appropriate evidence. - Produce transparent dashboards and status reporting for project governance, covering quality, coverage, execution progress, defect severity, and readiness. - Manage formal test-completion and sign-off processes, including waivers, exceptions, and outstanding actions. - Coach project teams in risk-based testing, evidence quality, defect management, and use of the test-management platform.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in software testing, IT, health informatics, engineering, or a related discipline. - Demonstrable experience managing testing for complex digital, clinical, enterprise, or integrated technology programmes. - Experience designing or administering a test-management platform and establishing reusable test processes, dashboards, and governance controls. - Experience coordinating testing across multiple systems, interfaces, vendors, teams, countries, or sites. - Strong experience with requirements traceability, test planning, execution, defect triage, UAT, regression, and formal sign-off. - Working in a regulated environment with audit, data-protection, or safety requirements.
Nice to have - Recognised software-testing or test-management certification. - Project-management, agile delivery, service-management, or clinical-safety training. - Fluency in additional European market languages. - Hands-on familiarity with PACS, RIS, patient-facing mobile applications, or comparable healthcare systems.
