Role overview
This is a senior-level engineering position within a Data & AI practice, centered on building production Generative AI and agentic AI systems. The work pairs agent-based LLM architectures with the Databricks data and AI platform to deliver scalable, real-world capabilities. It is offered as a remote opportunity based in Romania.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship Generative AI applications and agentic AI workflows - Develop and operate AI workloads on the Databricks platform - Shape engineering standards for model selection, evaluation, and orchestration - Partner with data engineers, ML practitioners, and product stakeholders across the delivery lifecycle - Stay current with evolving GenAI tooling and agent design patterns, and share findings internally
Requirements
- Senior-level background in AI/ML engineering, applied AI, or an adjacent software engineering discipline - Hands-on experience delivering LLM-based or agentic AI systems - Practical proficiency with the Databricks platform - Strong programming and systems design fundamentals - Comfort working across data, model, and deployment boundaries
